The South Aegean Region and the Athletics Federation SEGAS DODEKANISOU are co-organizing for the 4th consecutive year the International Rhodes Marathon on April 09-2017, with the support of the Municipality of Rhodes, DOPAR and the Rhodes Hotels Association. This year a half marathon is launched, providing more choices for the runners. There will be also three races 5K, 10K and Marathon courses as well as a 1,000m Kids Fun Run. On Sunday April 09, 2017 runners will have the opportunity to run on a flat course with the spectacular views of the deep blue Aegean sea, along the walls of the Medieval Town of Rhodes, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Rhodes Marathon has the official approval of AIMS and IAAF to ensure the validity and the international recognition of the race.
The course is traffic free.
