An Architect has recently taken on the task of converting a small religious village of the Monastery of Arkadi on Crete into a hotel.

Located in the prefecture of Rethymnon, the village built a church dedicated to Archangel Michael in 1600. At the its peak the villages had some 13 families and 50 inhabitants.
Now, thanks to the architect Myron Toupogiannis and his team the worn down village got a facelift and a new life – as a hotel – the Kapsaliana Village Hotel, to be exact!
The Kapsaliana Village Hotel is a member of the Historic Hotels of Europe and is absolutely charming! Check out the photos below!
