The multi-awarded chef has done it again. Anna Polyviou has been named Chef of the Year at the 20th annual Accommodation Awards for Excellence hosted by Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) on Thursday 20 July.

In a glorious ceremony that took place at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney attended by almost 700 political, industry and business leaders including NSW Tourism and Major Events Minister Adam Marshall, Polyviou was awarded the highest culinary accolade for this year.

The Chef of the Year award had joint winners. Apart from Shangri-La Sydney's Cypriot wonder woman, Dany Karam of The Star Sydney was also awarded with the same title while Libby Jaeger of the Intercontinental Sydney came highly commended in the Food and Beverage Employee of the Year category.

The former winner of Gault & Millau's Pastry Chef of the Year award has just had some more good news come her way as she was selected to be a judge for popular TV show Family Food Fight.

Polyviou, who in May 2017 was a guest judge on MasterChef Australia and challenged contestants to create her impossible yet delicious Firecracker dessert, will join chef and restaurateur Matt Moran, cookbook author Hayden Quinn and food writer and critic Tom Parker Bowles in the judging line-up.
