Greece is the big winner of this year's International Tourism Fair in Berlin held March 7-11 as it is the most popular destination for Germans after Spain.
On Wednesday, the 52nd International Tourism Fair (ITB) opened its doors in Berlin for about 110,000 industry specialists in the first three days and the weekend for the general public. The internationally important tourism fair is attended by around 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries around the world. At the Greek Pavilion, 85 tourist and hotel organizations, regions and shipping companies are represented. From the bookings it appears that Greece is the most popular tourist destination of the Germans after Spain.
According to the available data, more than 4 million German tourists are expected to visit Greece this year.
