British rocker Sting has coming out swinging at unnamed “world leaders” calling them “half-men” and their actions “barbaric,” while heaping praise on Greece for “showing the way” and showing the world “how to be civilized.”
His remarks came while he was in Athens for two historic concerts at the ancient Herodion theater at the foot of the Acropolis at an event organized by Amnesty International.
“Thank God for Greece because you have shown the way.mYou have shown how to treat refugees when other people are building walls. When children are being taken from their mothers and put in cages, you are acting with compassion and generosity and commonsense,” he said, in a veiled reference to the Trump Administration’s zero-tolerance policy against undocumented immigrants that included the separation of children from their parents, until Trump himself reversed his controversial policy.
Because our so-called leaders, a sad parade of half-men, cowards, have not got the solutions…Once again Greece has shown us how to be civilized.
