Greece, as a destination for family vacations, received a significant distinction during the UK Family Traveler Excellence Awards 2019.
The event took place at the Natural History Museum in London.
Our country won the "Immersive Experiences" award for the Acropolis, receiving the votes of the public and especially from the kids (kids vote), as a unique and exciting experience combining 3,000 years of history with unparalleled creative and cultural experience The award was received by Emmy Anagnostopoulou, Head of the UK & Ireland Bureau of the Hellenic Tourism Organization.
The 'Family Traveler Excellence Award', was organized for the third consecutive year and it's one of the most important events of recognition for excellence, in products and services related to family holidays in the United Kingdom.
Indeed, for the first time this year, the organizers did not separate the countries, but created specific categories through which, they praised the experiences (cultural, technological, creative, environmental, etc.) of hotels and destinations worldwide.
The award ceremony was presented by the popular British singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
